How To Save A Life

Chapter 1:  It was one of the most strangest things I had ever witnessed in all my time living with the one and only, self-proclaimed, consulting detective. Never in all my wildest fantasies could I have ever imagined what would occur next. But, I suppose I am getting ahead of myself and falling into my old 'telling a story backwards' rut. I wish I could say that I would have to go back to my notes for this one, oh, how I wish it so, but this is one case that is so deeply imbedded into my mind that I will never forget. Not even the slightest of details.  It was a cool, rainy Sunday morning and I was sitting at the table enjoying a lovely

Slenderlock

Part 1: Lanky arms dangled down and lazily wrapped themselves around his neck.  John froze, his eyes growing wide and his lips parted as a weak gasp escaped him.  "Sh-sherlock..." He breathed.  The darker haired man spun on his heels and stumbled back at the sight, nearly dropping his flashlight. A tall, gangly man in a smooth black suit had draped himself over a tree branch and rested his arms on the ex-army doctor's shoulders.  A third arm slithered around the shorter man's waist while a fourth twisted around one of his arms, gently pulling and lifting the doctor's feet inches off the ground.  Sherlock composed himself as best he could.

A Mystery All In Itself

Chapter 1: A Run In With Holmes "Pick up your feet, Holmes!" Coach yelled over the sounds of laughter and the pounding of kid's feet as they ran around the track field. "This is a gym class, not nap hour." Curious, I peered over the top of the book in my hands to see what was going on. The football Coach, who doubled as our schools gym teacher, was marching-or rather, should I say, stomping like a five year old- over to a boy standing on the running field.  With a quick glance over the boy I instantly got the impression that he had had no intention of running at all. He stood, slightly hunched forwards, with his hands shoved in his front

Chapter 1: Snake in the Closet "Has anyone ever told you that there is a fine line between intelligence and arrogance?" I asked turning in my desk chair. A slight feeling of irritation washed over me and I pinched the bridge of my nose to try and release the pressure. Why had I even bothered trying to ask him for help on my homework?  There was a loud crashing sound and Holmes literally tumbled out of our now shared closet. "What was that?" I asked getting to my feet. "Nothing, it was nothing!" Holmes practically screamed as he scrambled to his feet, rushing over to slam the door shut. He stood for a moment resting his back against th

Part 5:  Crowley lowed his hands and glared up at Dean. “Really Winchester? Was the ‘kid’ bit really necessary? Does that make you feel like a big man or something? I mean really?” Sam chuckled and tried to cover it up with a cough once his brother glared back at him. “He has a point, Dean.” Dean turned back to Crowley and bent down so he was closer to his level. “Try and free yourself before I do it for you. ‘Kid’.” Crowley snorted a little and reached up to touch the chain around his neck again. “Stop it you big bully, you’re gonna make me cry.”  Glancing at

Riiku in Wonderland

Chapter one: A girl knelt on the floor and watched as all the people occupying the church ran, screaming for God's help or prayed for his mercy. Glass still rained down over her head like little diamond shards glistening in the dusty rays of sunlight. She watched as a brave young clergyman calmly walked forward. His head bowed low and his arms hidden in the sleeves of his dusty robes.  "Be gone, demon child. God has no place for you here." His voice was sharp as he stopped a few feet away from the girl. Her tail flicked and her shifty gold eyes settled into a glare on the young clergyman in front of her. "Sorry," she said with a little gr

Chapter 1: This Is Not Really the First Chapter Do me a favor, will you? Close your eyes and picture this for a second. You're sitting in a field filled with all kinds of beautiful flowers of all sorts of colors and scents. Birds sing in the trees and butterflies of all shades and sizes dance around in the hot summer sky. The sun's rays are so bright, they fill you with warmth just by thinking about it. And the cool breeze that surrounds you floats the echoes of sweet little children at play. Can you see it? Great. Nice. Beautiful. Now open your eyes and dodge the meaty fist that's hurling full speed at your face.  That, my dear friend, i

Plastic Hearts and Pendulums

Chapter One: "If he was human, would you be able to understand?" The lights in the room grew and faded as the seconds ticked past. "I...I don't get what you mean." I said taking a step forward. The lights faded a little and a breath caught in my throat. "That's because," he turned to me and for some reason I couldn't get a good look at him. For a man who was only a few steps in front of me, I found it very difficult to see his face. "You never really could." The lights in the room grew brighter, but that didn't change anything. I still couldn't see this man's face and no matter how bright it would get, I never would. "P-Please!" I reached a

I Vomit Rainbows

Part One:  You know those days when the only thing you can do is sit on the edge of your bath tub and stare at the water falling and swirling down the drain?  And while the water is falling and swirling, you sit there and listen to your head phones as loud as they will possibly go?  While a song is on repeat?  Yeah.  Today is one of those days. "If I can't have you. I don't want nobody, baby!"  I sing off key on purpous.  Not like there is anyone home to complain about it anyway.  Even if there was, they would be sound asleep and unable to hear me under the water pourin
